Things have been moving slowly. Very slowly.
A week of illness and a week of vacation has meant that progress is a relative term. It also doesn't help when you're working on the "boring" parts of a game. This has included: game state, intro screen, camera systems, and optimization. Although each of these areas can present fun challenges they aren't core to the game experience itself. This has led me to have a bit of a crisis of confidence about whether the game is actually any fun to play. I think that I need to wrap up these glue pieces of development and get back focused on the core gameplay.
Ground-based obstacles and decoration have been disabled for so long I almost forgot about them. Here's a picture of the intro screen with some newly added trees. More props coming soon!
